Rugby tribute to flood deaths duo
Tewkesbury Rugby Football Club, 26 July 2007
Police discovered the two men in the clubhouse cellar
A minute's silence will be held at Twickenham this weekend to remember two rugby fans who died as they attempted to clear flood water from a clubhouse.

Bramwell Lane, 64, and his son Chris Lane, 27, were found dead on 26 July at Tewkesbury Rugby Club.

The pair had apparently been overcome by fumes from a petrol pump.

The Rugby Football Union will hold a minute's silence before England's match against Wales on Saturday in front of a capacity crowd of over 70,000.

The two men had worked through the night to clear the flooded cellar so they could reopen the club to members.

RFU president Bob Taylor said it wanted to pay tribute to two volunteers who had dedicated much of their lives to the game.
