Water aid company sends to floods
A Bristol-based water company set up to provide clean safe drinking water in India and Africa is sending supplies to flood victims in Gloucestershire.

Frank Water has already funded four projects abroad, helping 25,000 people.

Katie Alcot, 28, who set up the business in 2005 was recently named female entrepreneur of the year.

"We have quite a bit of water set aside in storage for the festival season - it seems the right thing to donate it and save lives locally," she said.

Normally every litre of Frank water sold in the UK funds 200 litres of clean water in developing nations.

"The company's slogan, 'drink me - save lives' is a sobering reminder of the scale of the water problems locally and globally," said Ms Alcott.
