Weekend of work planned for A40
Drivers using the A40 through Cheltenham are being given advance warning of work to repair the route.

The programme is part of a £5m project which is scheduled for completion in November 2008.

Work will begin on Saturday 18 August and continue 24 hours a day finishing at 0645 BST on Monday 20 August.

The reconstruction of the Bath Road between Montpellier Terrace and Sandford Road is the first part of six stages of work to improve the A40.

The scheme involves major resurfacing between the Arle Court roundabout in the west and London Road in the east, through Charlton Kings.
