New look town gardens to reopen
Montpellier Gardens
The gardens are at the heart of Cheltenham
A 19th Century garden in Cheltenham is to officially reopen after a 1.25m revamp.

The work on Montpellier Gardens, which includes a new children's play area, has finished earlier than expected.

The derelict proscenium building, formerly an outdoor theatre, has been restored.

Gates and railings have been put up to replace those removed during World War II. Money has been made available the Heritage Lottery Fund, and fundraisers.
