Lido summer opening date is set

A lido in Cheltenham will open in the summer, it has been revealed.

The open air pool at Sandford Park - which has just undergone a £700,000 refurbishment - will open on 11 August.

It was meant to be completed in time for the first May Bank Holiday, but repair work took longer than expected, a spokesman said.

The lido retains nearly all of its original details and is one of the most complete examples of its kind in England.
