Royal backing for woolsack race
The annual woolsack race in Gloucestershire is being backed by Prince Charles.

In the trial of endurance, race participants carry a sack of wool up and down the steep Gumstool hill in Tetbury, between two pubs.

Prince Charles has donated a signed copy of his new book, Organic Gardening, to raise money at the event in a charity auction.

The race is thought to date back to the 17th Century.
