The Tories have gained 13 seats and taken Forest of Dean Council from no overall control.

In Awre, Conservative Peter Amos defeated Labour and in Berry Hill, David Easton beat Labour's Helen Stuart.

Patrick Molyneaux gained Hewelsfield & Woolaston, easily seeing off his Green Party rival.

It means the Conservatives currently have 30 seats on the district council. All 48 seats were up for re-election.
