Valentine home given gift-wrapped

Romantic Jasin Boland has given his fiancee possibly the ultimate Valentine present - a gift-wrapped house.

The 41-year-old Hollywood photographer bought the 500,000 waterside holiday home in the Cotswolds for German girlfriend Maria Moral Pena, 28.

He arranged to have it wrapped in white paper, decorated with red hearts and tied with a giant pink ribbon and bow.

Australian Mr Boland said he was making up for a rather ordinary Valentine gift the year before.

"Last year, I just took her out to dinner which wasn't much of a present, so I thought I'd better do something special to make up for it," he said.

Maria said she was overwhelmed by the romantic gift
It took several hours and 500 metres (1,640 ft) of paper to cover the house, which is on the exclusive Lower Mill Estate near Somerford Keynes, Gloucestershire.

"He always does very romantic things, but that just tops everything, it's just beautiful," said Maria.

"I'm completely overwhelmed. It's something I've always dreamed of, living in England, it's absolutely amazing."

The couple met three years ago in Maria's home city of Berlin, on the set of the Matt Damon film, The Bourne Supremacy, where Jasin was working as the official stills photographer and she was an extra.

Jasin said the house, which is set in a nature reserve, appealed to him as a photographer and a would-be painter.

"That's why I fell in love with Lower Mill where there's already a growing artists' community," he said.

"I can paint beautiful scenery and wildlife from my own balcony and Maria can enjoy the fruits of the private spa."
