Cash boost for village halls plan
A Gloucestershire village has been awarded more than £100,000 to improve its village hall and complete a sports pavilion.

The cash for Poulton, near Cirencester, comes from the Gloucestershire Rural Renaissance project.

Nearby Poole Keynes, with fewer than 150 residents, has also been awarded £8,000 for its own village hall.

The rural renaissance scheme, managed by Gloucestershire First, is investing £7m in projects throughout the county.

Kate Forrest, of the project, said: "We were delighted to be able to support these two projects.

"They may be on different scales but are all about increasing access to services, increasing community activity and helping rural communities to help themselves."
