Tories to take control of council
Cheltenham Borough will be run by the Conservatives after the main parties worked out a deal on Thursday night.

Last week's elections left the Tories and the Liberal-Democrats with an equal number of seats.

The People Against Bureaucracy party - which had had common ground with the Conservatives in the past - held the balance of power.

Duncan Smith for the Tories will lead the council, replacing the Liberal-Democrat Andrew McKinlay.
