Family tribute to tragic cyclist

The family of a keen cyclist who died in a road accident on a Gloucestershire road have paid tribute to her.

Irene Wallace, 55, from Apperley, near Tewkesbury, was described as a people person who lived for others.

Mrs Wallace died when the tandem she was riding with husband John, 60, was involved in a collision with a car near Corse Lawn.

"Irene lived for her family and she was the person that kept us all working together," said Mr Wallace.

The couple moved to the village 30 years ago from their home town of Preston, Lancashire.
