Boy injured in village collision
A young child has been badly hurt in an accident on the A46 in Woodchester near Stroud, Gloucestershire.

The boy, aged 11, was involved in a collision with a red Fiat Punto on Friday outside the Old Fleece pub.

He was taken by ambulance to Gloucestershire Royal Hospital, where he remains in what is described as a "serious condition".

Police closed the road for much of the morning so that accident investigators could study the scene.
