Woman killed in two-car collision

A woman has died after the car she was driving collided with another vehicle on the A40 in Gloucestershire.

The crash, between a Renault Clio and a Ford Focus, happened between Over and Longford on Saturday afternoon.

The driver of the Clio, who has not been named but was from Ashleworth, died at the scene.

Another woman, the driver of the Focus, and her male passenger were taken to Gloucestershire Royal Hospital by air ambulance for treatment.

The road was closed for five hours while accident investigators examined the scene.
