Balloon used to show mast height

A renewable energy company has floated a balloon above a Gloucestershire farm to illustrate the height of its proposed wind turbines.

Green Amps wants to erect the turbines at Somerford Keynes, near Cirencester.

The company hopes it will also be able to put up more wind generators across Gloucestershire in the future.

Nick Brown, from Green Amps, said: "We are looking at deploying two wind turbines and we've been met by quite broad support."
