A diver is in a critical condition after becoming trapped while doing underwater repair work.
The man, from Hampshire, was carrying out maintenance work on the Upper Lode Lock at Forthampton, near Tewkesbury, when he became stuck below.
Police said he was pulled from the water by a colleague and airlifted to Cheltenham General Hospital.
The diver's family has been informed of his condition and the area around the lock has been examined by CID officers.
The incident has been referred to the Health and Safety Executive for review.
