Britain's first and only Olympic ski jumper, Eddie "the Eagle" Edwards, has married in a secret ceremony in the US.
Cheltenham-born Eddie, 39, became a household name when he famously came last at Calgary Winter Olympics in 1988.
He wed Sam Morton, a complimentary therapist from Stroud, at a drive-in registry office in Las Vegas.
Dressed in an Hawaiian shirt and shorts for the ceremony, Mr Edwards said that they wanted to be different, but added that there will be a blessing on their return.
He told BBC Radio Gloucestershire: "With conventional weddings, there are always family upsets about who to invite, and we didn't want to go through that.
"There were no paparazzi, it was lovely hot weather and we really enjoyed it," he added.
The new Mrs Edwards said: "It was romantic and fun. Afterwards we went and had a pizza. It was lovely to just go off and have some fun like that."
And Eddie is now a legal eagle after recently completing a law degree.
