Model 'raped on studio floor'
Dean Coles
Dean Coles denies the charges against him

A photographer accused of sexually assaulting young models raped a woman on the floor of a studio in his home, Bristol Crown Court has heard.

Dean Coles, 40, is accused of raping the woman and also a teenage girl after they contacted him about modelling work through an agency he ran from his Gloucestershire homes.

He denies this, and charges of attempting to rape two other women, and indecently assaulting four more.

The woman who was allegedly raped on the studio floor and who cannot be named for legal reasons, told the jury she had contacted the Cotswold Model Agency looking for modelling work.

I just felt if I just went along with this then I could just go home. I went along with what he asked me to do

After a meeting at Mr Coles' home, then in Stroud, the woman went back alone to have photos taken.

She said that as the shoot went on, Mr Coles started asking her to remove her clothing, saying she would get more "glamour" work if she did.

The woman, who told the jury she had not understood what glamour modelling meant, said she had gone along with the suggestions as she wanted Mr Coles' to think she was being professional.

As well as asking her take off her clothes and pose, Mr Coles also asked the woman to wear some of his wife's outfits.

The woman told the jury: "I was not happy and I did not say anything, which maybe I should have looking back.

"But I went along with it because you feel, when you're there with a professional, you put your trust in them and you do your best to do what you're there to do."

At the end of the session with Mr Coles, he started talking about sleeping with models, she said.

She said Mr Coles kissed her and then asked her to get on the floor.

Crying as she gave her evidence the woman said: "I just felt if I just went along with this then I could just go home. I went along with what he asked me to do."

She said Mr Coles had then had sex with her on the floor of the studio.

"I just laid there, I just had never felt in my life so emotionless or so cold and empty. That was how I felt, I just felt cold and frozen."

The case continues.
