Photographer guilty of rape attempt
Dean Coles
Glamour photographer Dean Coles denies the charges against him
A glamour photographer accused of sexually assaulting his models has been convicted of attempted rape and indecent assault.

Dean Coles, 40, was found guilty on Monday of one count of attempted rape and one of indecent assault. He was cleared of another charge of indecent assault.

Last Friday the jury at Bristol Crown Court convicted Coles of one charge of rape, and cleared him of another count. It is still considering three more charges of indecent assault.

Coles, who ran the Cotswold Model Agency from his home in Rodborough, Gloucestershire, and is accused of preying on his clients during photo sessions, has denied all the charges.

Sexual favours

The court has heard he bullied the women, requested sexual favours and touched them inappropriately.

In the witness box, the former builder claimed some of the incidents did not happen, and others involved consensual sex.

He said he had simply flirted with his clients in order to get better photographs of them.

Coles was released on bail to return to court on Tuesday, when the jury will continue considering its verdicts.
