'Stolen' car driver dies in Essex crash

The driver of a car police believe was stolen, has died in a crash in Essex.

A 36-year-old man from Dagenham was thrown from a Ford Fiesta when it was in collision with a BMW at a junction on the A1112 Romford Road in Chigwell.

The man suffered serious head injuries in the crash on Thursday evening and was taken to hospital, where he died shortly afterwards.

A 21-year-old man from Loughton driving the BMW was also taken to hospital with a serious spinal injury, police said.
