Man from Essex remanded on two rape charges

A 24-year-old care assistant charged with raping two women in Essex has been remanded in custody.

Aaron Miller, of Delhi Road, Basildon, was remanded by Southend magistrates to appear at Basildon Crown Court on Friday June 18.

He is charged with raping a woman, 46, on London Road on 21 March and a woman, 35, at a property on Chichester Road, both Southend, in the summer of 2008.

The man had been arrested on 30 March and released on bail.

He was arrested again at his home on Thursday after allegations of the rape in 2008 were made two days earlier, a police spokesman said.
