Three bailed over Ingatestone van and bike collision

Three people have been bailed by police after a crash in Essex which left a cyclist seriously injured.

The male cyclist from Brentwood was in collision with a white van on Station Lane, Ingatestone, on Sunday.

He has been transferred to the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital as his condition has improved, police said.

A man and a woman in their 40s, from Ingatestone, and a 29-year-old Croydon man were arrested on suspicion of perverting the course of justice.

They have been released on police bail until 10 May.

Essex Police would like to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the collision.
