A man has been charged in connection with the seizure of cannabis plants worth more than £1m in Essex.

Officers discovered more than 5,000 plants under cultivation when they raided a warehouse in the Theydon Bois area on Friday.

Hai Van Doan, 27, of no fixed address, has been charged with being concerned in the production of cannabis.

He will appear at Harlow Magistrates' Court on Monday. Three other men are still being questioned by police.

The three are a 54-year-old man from Wickford, a 35-year-old from Romford and a 44-year-old from Ingatestone.

Police said the seizure was one of the biggest by the Essex force.
