Smokehouse is reduced to cinders

Arson has been ruled out as the cause of a fire in a smokehouse on the border of Suffolk and Essex.

Firefighters from Suffolk and Colchester were called to the building fire in Nayland, which is owned and run by the nearby Anchor Inn.

Owner Hector Bunting told BBC Radio Suffolk he was "shell-shocked" but determined to rebuild the smokehouse.

He said: "We had hams curing for the Christmas market. They are now cinders, not even fit for dog food."
