More than 40 firefighters are tackling a large blaze in Essex.

Police have cordoned off an area of Hythe in Colchester after a fire broke out in a workshop and scrapyard in Commerce Road, Colchester.

Fire crews believe there are acetylene cylinders at the site of the fire and a 200-metre exclusion zone has been put in place.

Eight fire engines and an aerial ladder platform are dealing with the fire, which broke out at about 1900 BST.
