Woman arrested over stabbing

The victim is a man in his 50s and from Jaywick

A 37-year-old woman is being held on suspicion of attempted murder after a man was stabbed and struck by car during an attack in Essex.

The victim, who is in his 50s and from Jaywick, was attacked by a group of men in Broadway in the town on Saturday and is in a serious condition in hospital.

Police believe he and one of his attackers were also struck by a car.

Two women and a youth arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender have been bailed until August.
