Man suffers serious head injuries

Police are asking for help in identifying a man who is in hospital after being found with life-threatening injuries in a street in Essex.

The injured man was found in Hainault Avenue, Westcliff, in the early hours of the morning after a member of the public saw him and dialled 999.

He was first taken by ambulance to Southend General Hospital.

He was later transferred to Queens Hospital in Romford were he has life-threatening head and facial injuries.

Anyone with information about who the man may be, or how he came by his injuries, is asked to contact Essex Police.
