Fatal road crash woman identified

A woman who died when she crashed into back of a stationary lorry in Essex has been named by police.

Michelle Williams, 38 from Breeze Hill, Benllech, Anglesey struck the lorry parked in a lay-by on the A127 at East Horndon at 0430 BST on Wednesday.

Her daughter, aged three, was also badly injured in the crash and is still in a serious condition at Great Ormond Street Hospital in London.

The lorry driver, who was asleep in his cab, was uninjured.

The woman and her daughter had been visiting relatives in Wickford and had been making their way back to Wales.
