A 62-year-old disabled woman found dying in the driver's seat of her car from extensive stab wounds has now been named by Essex police.

Jennifer Macaree was found in Hadley Grange on the outskirts of Harlow early on Saturday.

A 68-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder.

Police said Ms Macaree had suffered a "vicious attack" and post-mortem tests showed she died from multiple stab wounds.

She was found in her black Vauxhall Corsa in a parking area near her flat.

Ms Macaree was taken to Princess Alexandra Hospital where she died shortly after arriving. Formal identification is still to take place.

Anyone who saw anything unusual around 0300 GMT in Hadley Grange on Saturday or witnessed someone with blood-stained clothing is urged to contact police.
