Recycling centre fire
A huge pile of wood caught fire at the centre on Monday

Fire crews remain at the scene of a blaze at a recycling centre in Essex, three days after it broke out.

Two crews are at Birchwood Industrial Estate in Hoe Lane, Nazeing, after wood chippings covering more than two acres of land caught fire.

Crews are continuing to monitor the situation which is now under control.

The fire broke out early on Monday and at its height 18 fire engines were at the scene. Investigations into the cause are continuing.
