Death at a hospital building site

A man has died following an accident at a hospital building site in Essex just after lunch on Monday.

Firefighters said part of a building under construction at Broomfield Hospital in Chelmsford collapsed.

A spokeswoman for the Health and Safety Executive said it was a "scaffolding incident" and they were carrying out an investigation with police.

Essex Fire and Rescue Service said crews used specialist cutting equipment were at the scene for 90 minutes.
