Two held as guns and drugs seized

Two people have been arrested on suspicion of firearms and drugs offences following an operation by police in Essex.

Police searched a property in Plums Lane, Bardfield Saling, on Wednesday morning and found a number of firearms and drugs.

A woman, aged 58, and a 52-year-old man are being questioned.

An Essex Police spokeswoman said on Thursday that a detailed search of the scene was continuing.
