Attacked man died of head injury

A teenager injured in a street attack in Essex died from head injuries, a post-mortem examination has revealed.

Murder inquiry detectives investigating the death of Dominic Barritt, 18, from Clacton are questioning a 22-year-old man over the incident.

Mr Barritt suffered the serious head injury in an attack on the High Street, Walton in the early hours of Saturday.

A murder investigation was launched on Monday afternoon following his death at the Queen's Hospital in Romford.

An Essex Police spokesman said a man from east London had been arrested over the death.

Officers have been studying CCTV images in connection with the case.
