Smoke from wood blaze covers town

People in and around a town in Essex are being advised to shut their doors and windows to keep out smoke from a huge fire in a timber yard.

More than 40 firefighters have been tackling the blaze at the site on the A1060 at Roxwell, Chelmsford, which broke out just after midnight.

The road has been closed and motorists are advised to avoid the area.

No-one has been hurt in the blaze, which Essex Police say may have been started deliberately.
