Lap dancer admits benefit fraud

A mother-of-two has been fined £225 after she was caught claiming benefits while earning money as a lap dancer

Tammy Lefevre-Hix, 26, of Shoeburyness, Essex, claimed nearly £4,500 despite working at the Katz Gentleman's Club, Basildon, Essex.

A Department for Work and Pensions spokesman said Lefevre-Hix was caught after a tip-off last summer.

She admitted at Southend magistrates to failing to tell the authorities she had a job.
