Elizabeth Cooke had been given the quad bike as a present

The father of a girl who died after the quad bike she was riding collided with a Range Rover has appeared in court charged with manslaughter.

Elizabeth Cooke, seven, died in hospital after the crash on Boxing Day last year in her home village of Blackmore, near Ongar, Essex.

She had been riding behind another Range Rover driven by her father.

Gary Cooke, 46, appeared before Grays magistrates and will appear at Chelmsford Crown Court on 20 October.
