Father charged in quad bike probe

The father of a girl who died after the quad bike she was riding collided with a Range Rover in Essex has been charged with manslaughter.

Elizabeth Cooke, seven, died in hospital after the crash on Boxing Day in the village of Blackmore near Ongar.

Gary Cooke, 46, from Blackmore, has been charged with manslaughter in connection with the crash.

Mr Cooke has been released on police bail and is due to appear before Grays Magistrates on 31 July.
