Lorry driver dies in road crash

A 55-year-old lorry driver has been killed in a road crash in Essex.

An articulated lorry returning to Harwich left the carriageway on the A120 near Frating and collided with the crash barrier at about 0500 BST.

The driver of the lorry, said by police to be from Holland, was declared dead at Colchester General Hospital.

The road had to be closed for about five hours while the lorry was removed. The results of a post-mortem test on the man are currently being awaited.
