Teenager held after fatal crash

A 16-year-old boy has been arrested by police after a car crash which left a teenager dead and another injured.

Police found the body of a 16-year-old boy in a car which had slid down an embankment on the M11 near Harlow, Essex, on Saturday morning.

An injured 17-year-old boy was found in undergrowth and airlifted to hospital, and road workers reported seeing a blood-stained man running away.

A boy is being held on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.

Police said the driver appeared to have lost control of the car which was stolen from outside the house of the owner in Twickenham, south London, on Friday night.
