Sisters caught with £5m of heroin
Two sisters from Holland have been found guilty of attempting to smuggle heroin worth more than £5m into the UK through the port of Harwich.

Jacqueline Brigitte Merceij, 40, and Manon Merceij, 46, were caught with 114 kilos of the drug, on 25 June 2007, jurors at Chelmsford Crown Court heard.

Jacquline Merceij, of Oudenbosch, and Manon Merceij of Geervliet, had both denied importation of a class A drug.

They have been remanded in custody to await sentence on 17 March.
