Tribute to quad bike death girl
Fingrith Hall Lane
Elizabeth Cooke was taken to hospital where she died
The parents of a girl who died after the quad bike she was riding was in collision with a Range Rover said their daughter had "changed their world".

Seven-year-old Elizabeth Cooke, from Blackmore near Brentwood, Essex, died in hospital from injuries sustained in the crash on Boxing Day.

Her mother, Clare Batt, 34, said: "We are all privileged and proud to have shared your wonderful life."

A 28-year-old woman questioned about the crash is due to answer police bail.

She had been driving a Range Rover and was arrested after police learned of the accident.

The crash occurred in Fingrith Hall Lane, just outside the village of Blackmore, on Boxing Day.

The girl and her 10-year-old brother, Jack, were both riding their new bikes behind their father's car when the accident occurred.

She was initially taken to her home, about half a mile away, before ambulance crews were called.

Police said they would speak to Mr Cooke as part of routine inquiries and he could yet face criminal charges.

A police spokesman said it was illegal for anyone under the age of 16 to ride a quad bike on a public road.

Elizabeth's father said: "No-one could begin to imagine how much it has devastated the village and our close family."

Her mother said: "You have had and given us the most amazing seven years any mum and dad could dream of.

"We watched you grow from a small baby to a beautiful princess who was perfect in every way. Sleep tight you beautiful angel."

A post-mortem examination is due to take place.
