Boys deny murder of river woman

Two boys have appeared in court accused of the murder of a woman whose body was found in a river in Essex.

The teenagers, aged 17 and 14, appeared at Chelmsford Crown Court charged with killing 25-year-old Helen Maughan.

The partially-clothed body of the mother of two was found on 20 May in the River Colne, near her home in Colchester, Essex.

The boys pleaded not guilty and the case was adjourned for trial on 21 April next year.
