Six arrested over rave in quarry
Six people have been arrested after police stopped an illegal rave in an Essex quarry in the early hours.

Officers were called by residents complaining of a loud noise at Coggeshall in Essex.

Police found about 40 people attending a rave in the quarry just off the A120, Bradwell Road.

The people arrested are still being held in custody on suspicion of making a nuisance and committing public order offences, a police spokeswoman said.

Superintendent Tim Stokes said: "Essex Police will not tolerate any illegal raves in the county and will take robust and quick action to stop these events from happening."

The men arrested are a 19-year-old from Brightlingsea, a 19-year-old, a 20-year-old and a 26-year-old from Braintree and two 22-year-olds from Witham.
