Boys charged with woman's murder

Two boys, aged 13 and 16, have been charged with the murder of a 24-year-old woman whose body was found in a river in Essex.

The two boys, who were arrested on Tuesday, will appear before Colchester magistrates on Thursday charged with murdering Helen Maughan.

Ms Maughan, who lived in Propelair Way, Colchester, was found dead in the River Colne in the town on 20 May.

An Essex Police spokesman said the two boys come from Colchester, Essex.
