College lecturers on pay strike
Lecturers at Harlow College have organised a two day strike over planned changes to their pay and conditions.

Members of the University and College Union at the college in Essex have claimed they have substantial support from students.

Most of the 2,000 pupils stayed away from lessons on Thursday, the first day of the strike.

The college wants to increase the number of hours lecturers work and to create more specialised teaching roles.
