Conservatives gain Tendring seats

Tendring District Council remains in no overall control despite the Conservatives gaining three seats in the 2007 elections.

The Conservative party remains short of a majority with 28 of the 60 seats at the Essex council following Thursday's local poll.

Both the Liberal Democrats and Labour lost six seats and the Residents' Association group lost two of its four.

Independent candidates gained 11 seats, reaching a total of 18.
