Man, 18, admits killing van owner
A 18-year-old man has admitted killing a Chinese restaurant owner who died trying to stop his van being stolen.

Vi-Phond To, 39, of South Ockendon, Essex, died after climbing onto the van in an attempt to stop it being driven away in Aveley, Essex, in June.

At Basildon Crown Court David Mascall, of Hornchurch, Essex, pleaded guilty to manslaughter.

He also admitted aggravated vehicle taking. Mascall was remanded in custody to be sentenced on 12 December.
