Wife killer handed life sentence

Richard Moore repeatedly stabbed his wife
A man who murdered his wife in their Essex home has been jailed for life.

Allison Moore, 35, bled to death after Richard Moore repeatedly stabbed her in Colworth Close, Benfleet on 15 August.

Moore, 37, pleaded guilty to murder at Chelmsford Crown Court. He must serve at least 15 years before he is eligible for parole.

Det Insp Simon Dinsdale said his thoughts were with Mrs Moore's children following the murder, which he described as "appalling".
