Anniversary plea over fire death
Andrea Daly
Andrea Daly died in the bedroom of her house
Officers investigating the murder of a woman who died in an arson attack on her house one year ago have renewed their appeal for information.

Andrea Daly, 40, was trapped after a petrol bomb was put through her letterbox in Rochford Road, Southend in Essex, on 10 November last year.

Her two sons, aged 17 and 20, escaped by jumping from a bedroom window.

Det Supt Keith Garnish said Andrea's family needed to know why they were attacked and the killers caught.

Petrol smell

Mrs Daly was trapped at the front of the house and died from smoke inhalation.

Det Supt Garnish said: "We have been working hard to identify Andrea's killers but need help from people living in Southend.

"Someone knows who was walking along Rochford Road that morning or perhaps returned home smelling of petrol.

"Andrea's family need to know why their house was targeted and we need to know, so justice can be done."
