A second man has died following the discovery of three suspected illegal immigrants in Essex.
He was found seriously ill on the A12 in Witham on 12 June close to the body of another man.
The identity of the men is not known but they are thought to have been aged between 20 and 30.
A third man, also found close by, has told Essex Police that up to 13 people were transported across continental Europe into England in a van.
A post-mortem examination is due to be held on the dead man later this week.
Officers in Essex have been liaising with colleagues in Kent who investigated the deaths of 58 Chinese people in a container six years ago.
