Airline allows passengers' bikes
An airline is to allow passengers to take folding bikes onto its aircraft for a trial period.

Atlantic Express will allow them on its Stansted to Jersey route from 27 May.

Commercial director Basil O'Fee said: "Such is the size of Jersey, a bike is an ideal form of transport and we are happy to encourage their use.

"Passengers cycling to Stansted Airport in Essex or bringing their bikes on train services, are welcome to put them on the aircraft without charge."

The airline will monitor the response and make a decision at a later date as to the practicability and viability of the offer and whether we continue."
